The Background of our Tea Party

The memories Maddie Mae has of the
tea parties she used to have with Pa and Nana is the inspiration behind our charity event. They would dress up in their fancy clothes and sip on their tea as they ate their "tea cake" cookies. Maddie wanted to have a tea party for all of her cousins, family, and friends. She just wouldn't stop asking. As I sat with her and discussed getting one together, she cried because she wished her Nana could come. She missed her Nana and the fun things they used to do together. I asked her if she wanted to try to raise money for cancer so that we could do our part to help stop someone else from losing their Nana. She started smiling and said "YES!" So that is how the "All for Nana Charity Tea Party" was created. Since Nana's birthday was April 28, we decided April would be the perfect month. We all miss our precious Nana and we hope that this annual tea party will be a yearly celebration of the love and legacy she left for us all.
